Lindores Construction Logistics – “The Darling” Star Casino

LCL, working alongside Probuild, has recently finished works on site, to complete the development of the new 6 star hotel tower on the Gold Coast.

During this project LCL provided Probuild with a number of different cranes and machines to assist in any job that was required, from man and material hoists, large fork lifts, mini cranes, frannas, mobile cranes ranging from 55t to 350t as well as 2 heavy lift Favelle Favco tower cranes.

The tower cranes were placed in very precise locations to ensure the job could still move forward with little to no disruption to the site.

LCL supplied 1 x M380D fitted on 2.4m x 2.4m tower sections with a 25 ton high speed winch with a capacity of lifting 3.4 tons at 60 meters radius. This gave Probuild a massive advantage to have this length boom fitted to the crane so it could reach either side of the project. The crane was positioned in the lift shaft and was climbed externally within the lift shaft by securing the tower sections to the lift shaft walls. The crane was climbed on 48m of tower with a completion height of 88m.

Tower Crane 2 was a M440D fitted to 2.4m x 2.4m tower sections also with a 25 ton winch with a lifting capacity of 4.3 tons at 60 meters radius.

This crane was located on the southern end of the project and played a major role in feeding the new 6 star hotel structure with steel, concrete and all internal finishes to each level.

From the start Probuild and LCL had been working together on the critical lifts to level 19 and one of the new hotels biggest attractions, the pool. It was built in large steel modules, with some of the modules coming in at 14 tons.

LCL utilized the 2 large Favelle Favco’s and dual lifted in the heaviest module from the new bridge all the way to level 19. It was a critical and major lift carried out by the LCL team on site and was completed safely.

This was a great project for LCL and Probuild to be a part of and we look forward to the next big project that the team has for us.
