BMPX 1 William St

Brisbane, Queensland

Brookfield Multiplex 1 William Street, Brisbane

The 1 William Street office tower will be a landmark structure in the heart of Brisbane’s government precinct. With 44 floors above ground, it will be the tallest commercial building in Brisbane. It will be the jewel in the revitalised precinct that will include a blend of office and commercial spaces, hotels, cultural facilities, residential developments and retail centres.

The unique central core of the buliding allows an extraordinary amount of daylight into it and 360 degree views, with the Sky Garden on one side and laneway connections through the core it will be an innovative central space that will allow improved circulation flows.

LCL are part of this iconic project supplying Favelle Favco Tower cranes with internal and extenrnal capabilites, the project had a requirment for three cranes due to the amount of vertical transportation required in this large scale project. One of the cranes will be climing up the central core of the buliding as it grows and with 2 external cranes climbing up some 275m they will top out as being the highest tower cranes in south east Queensland .

The Tower cranes provided are high speed M380D and M220Dx model machines with line speeds of up to 260 metres per minute and 16 tonne single line lift to service the high rise structure. The cranes will be on up to 78 tower sections and will be climbed as the tower is constructed.

The project is due to reach full height by early/mid 2016 , with the cranes being climbed down sooner after.
